I just sent two 114lbs 25x25.27 inch packages to Atlanta, GA via UPS Ground. After reading about all the horrible experience Rennlisters have had with UPS, I was quite worried about my shipment. I am happy to report that the boxes made it down there in one piece!
Other companies that I have used include FedEx and DHL. Another company that I would consider is CanPar, but you need to open up and account with them to ship packages and I don't ship stuff often enough to justify the cost of a membership.

FEDEX rocks......I won't use UPS ever again !!
I had the same BS experience with a set of used Ferrari 308 wheels and tires last year.......received a $150 bill a month later for duty, GST, brokerage, handling....etc...etc....yadda, yadda, yadda........and they were shipped prepaid from the US. Total cost of the parts was $600 CAD.......
Everything I have ever shipped thru FEDEX cross border has never resulted in a bill for any of this stuff.

OTTAWA, ON, CA 22/02/2006 18:16 THE RECEIVER DID NOT WANT THE ORDER AND REFUSED THIS DELIVERY;PACKAGE RETURNED TO SENDER
Finaly, a return to sender as been issued, but still, it came back to Ottawa.
I guess I was wrong about it going back faster....
