Hi Guys;

Thought I would ask in case any of you guys have a lead for me...

I need to quickly find a reputable shipping company that will pickup and deliver a car from Ottawa to Alberta. I'm looking for a company that is used to dealing with Exotics/sportscars and can do enclosed door to door shipping.

Any leads for me? If I was in the United States, the equivalent of what I am looking for is Intercity Lines or Thomas C. Sunday...

TFX was the name of the place someone gave me once when I was looking to get the GT3 up to Tremblant for the w/e. Turned out to be too expensive. They do race cars, exotics, etc. I can't find the number or contact person though...sorry. Hansen's was the company that gave me the lead though.

TFX is the best but they are not cheap.....Mackie is TERRIBLE....do not use them............Hansen's is open transport.......so if it's the 993 in your pic that you are sending don't worry about it being open.....they are cheap and very reliable !! In over 17 years of being in this business I have no complaints about Hansen's at all.......

I used TFX years ago when I shipped my 84 Carrera from Toronto to Vancouver. They did a good job. Don't remember too well but do remember that there were zero issues.

Thanks guys for all the info... I'm actually sending an open top Shelby 427 Cobra so I need enclosed services this time around.

In case anyone searches for this in the future, I have contacted TFX, Mackie, and another highly regarded company called Thorsen's to give me some quotes. With the help of you guys I have found that all of these companies offer enclosed high end car transport services across Canada.

Thorsen is great. They shipped my 996 from Vancouver to Edmonton. They gave me a deal approx.$600. Great service.

I used Hansen's Forward recently. No problems and very professional.

However, my car was left outside for a few hours so I'm not sure it meets your requirements. They also are NOT cheap.

I used Quikasair recently to ship my vehicle from Calgary to Toronto. It was a few weeks late because their truck broke down. I noted some damage when I picked it up - however it was caked in mud and I could not have seen a dent that was noticeable after I washed the vehicle. Their power washer was broken so I was on the hook to find the damage after I went offsite.

They wouldn't call me back, treated me badly when I called them and refused to take responsibility. I'm not sure I would use them again. Horrible customer service.

I used Hansens to ship from Montreal to Halifax. I definitely would never use them again.
A fair bit of damage to the car, covered in oil and mud. Never again.

I have heard nothing but good things about TFX. I used Hansen's years ago. Car came by rail and then they would have used a truck to bring it to my door, but I went to the yard to pick up instead.

Enclosed trailer with TFX. My 993 rode with a Jaguar E-Type and an Aston Martin DB9.
