Some ****** keyed my Cayenne
I had this happen 20 years ago with my BMW 540i but not again till now. Car is street parked and someone thought it amusing to run a key through the paint. All fixable and this is a car I will likely run into the ground over many years but still irritating. Just random hooliganism.

Just part of the risk of parking downtown on the street; it will be fixed and no issue re resale value was it will have 300,000km on it when it will be time to change it out so not worth a lot anyway. Just seems to be part of the antisocial, enraged element that sees destruction as fulfilling.

Feel for you bro! It sucks big time. I remember my wife's brand new X7 was vandalized through the PPF on the hood. We only had it for 3 months! Somebody dug their key or hammered a metal nail to puncture it through. Smack center right above the emblem, straight down to the primer. I swear it was when we were at a Home Depot but what can you do.
I will never understand the need to purposely damage other people's property. There's no rationale.
Hopefully yours might have a chance at being an easy blend and polish 👍

Definitely kids. However I cannot blame them for the jealous tree in the back that dropped a branch on the Panamera same night.........

The young trees of today just don't have the respect of earlier generations!
Seriously though, it is unfortunate that the Cayenne was keyed. This sort of thing is very sad as the emotions and thought patterns that drive this behavior do not bode well for the perpetrator's future.
Your equanimity in putting it in perspective is very healthy though.

That sucks. But this is not a new phenomenon. Kids have been vandalizing cars for decades! I've had the hood crest on one of my Benzes yanked off (24 years ago). Slashed top on my VW cab (40 years ago). Snapped radio antennas (lots of them in the '80s!), Crested valve caps stolen on my Porsche (15 years ago), and the list goes on and on and on... cops don't care, because it's really more of a nuisance crime. Same if you get a graffiti artist tagging your property.
