Sorry to hear this happened.
I now park behind the building at my office because I'm worried about this happening on the street.

The reality is that it is just a cost of city living.

I like being very central but it is not for everyone and there is a risk to street parking. Nobody made me live so centrally nor street park a Cayenne, so there are some downsides. However it is a fairly good place where everyone knows everyone else and great for getting to restaurants, theatre etc. My life does not revoulve around perfect cars without a flaw. Stuff gets used. Have lived in a lot of city centres and am comfortable about some extra risk.

Repairs will be made and life will go on- more important things to worry about.

maybe the photos don't show it well but to me it looks like those are not through the paint and don't look intentional. It looks like maybe scraped on a branch pulling out, I am sure you would be aware of this. when I have seen keyed cars in the past it is much deeper and continuous. you could say it gives the vehicle some character

That's why i asked about the camera, sometimes you are surprised by what you see... although in this case ..

Small consolation Ronan, but if scratch does not go through the primer, a touch up, compound rub and buff might do the trick. I've fixed branch scratches with considerable success.
