Default Feeler: 2016 981 Cayman Black/PDK/Sport Chrono/X73

Hello all,

I thought I would post a feeler for my 2016 981 Base 2.7L Cayman with appx 53000km. No accident or paint work. Purchased last year. I am the 2nd owner. Just put on a set of Michelin PS4S in Nov last year. The car drives and sounds great being a flat six engine. Considering selling to go to a DE5 Integra Type S or Golf R for a more practical DD.

Price: $54000
Location: Markham, Ontario
Options include:
PDK
Jet Black Metallic
Sports seats Plus
19 inch Cayman S wheels
Colored center caps
Bixenon with Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
Park Assist Rear
X73 Sport Chrono Sport Chassis, 20mm lower
Sport Tailpipes
Convenience Package (dual zone AC, heated seats)
Infotainment Package with Sound Package Plus Navigatio
Full front end PPF

I did paint correction myself. Spent a lot of time and effort to get the paint as perfect as I can.

Thanks for reading my Ad!

That's a very good price. I have a DE5 ITS as daily; and I also own a 2013 981 Boxster. My recommendation is to keep both .

I think your price is low. I'd be asking $60000.

If he wants to actually sell it, $54k is very reasonable
shooting at 60 only to land at or around 54 wastes time.

The market has shifted.

$54k is an attractive price on a nicely sorted car.
Good luck with your sale sir.

Greatly appreciate your inputs, folks. And yeah, I thought to offer it at $54k to fellow rennlisters. It makes more sense for another enthusiast to enjoy it than trade it in to dealerships who only go by wholesale prices and do not appreciate options and conditions.

I’d sooner start at $60000 and end up closer to $54000 then start at $54000 and end up at $50000. Very few 981’s available these days. Only produced for 3 years. Then again I could be wrong.

I love the 981 Cayman, what a sweet spot. If that car was a Manual Id be at your front door!

we all like to think our cars are worth more than they are.

but, they aren’t.

Im going to be listing a 981 Boxster soon and yes, prices have definitely shift. Kicking myself for not selling sooner BUT I have really enjoyed the time since.

OP, your selling price is very reasonable and your car looks great. Good luck!
