Hardcore...

Although, I share some of your fears... but for me, I don't think a 718 is worth full PFF + perfection. Now, some 911s... yea, I'd probably go nuts too.

My plan is just to avoid highway :-)

Also, note if youre going to tow it there, be sure to ask the dealer to leave the (shipping) protection film on.

When are you taking it in?

So many stories about the rear hips on a 992 getting hit with stones that I decided to bite the bullet and do the full car.

I’m having the dealer do their normal prep. It will be going enclosed to the Refinery on the same rig that did my 993. Once PPF’d, it will be highway driven all of the time!

I believe the car is leaving the port in Germany today, so it will be another 4 - 6 weeks.

Oooh is your car on the SFL Conductor??? My 718 GTS should be too...

And I'd say 4 weeks is a better guess :-P my SA is trying to tell me July 20 but I think he's overly positive

Congrats!

I believe mine is on that ship too. This grey line showed up on my app last Thursday or Friday and I was told that this means that you have been loaded. Guys track this closely on the 992 forum, so I’ve been following along there. The SFL Conductor is due to land at Halifax on July 10th apparently.

Nice! I've been tracking closely too but the TYD app doesn't work for me. Only the website.. although funny enough I have received Push Notifications from the app (lol).

Those of us on the SFL Conductor should be seeing it on the TYD within 12-24 hours!

Good luck!!!

Congrats! Will you be paying the dealership to transport it there or will you be arranging it yourself after you take delivery? If yourself, and if you don't mind, which transport co are you using or recommend? Would be good to know! 👍

Thanks! I’m doing it myself. The service is called “Driverless Delivery By Design”. It is a little more expensive than a flat bed, but the car is loaded onto a moving trolly and pulled into the trailer with no one in it. No chance of someone dinging a door etc. The owner Rick is a nice guy.

Made it to Canada today!

For those asking about the trucking company that I use. Rick is a great guy and his fees are very reasonable for the level of service. He quoted $400 to take my car from Oakville to the Refinery.

Nice! Let me know when it arrives! Mine is arriving in Halifax in 6 days.. I hope your land journey is fast!

That's transport cost isn't bad... Less than I thought. Personally, I still need a P car with PTS before I go for it though.
