Default Bought Iphone cause of boxster

I needed a new phone, and only apple is native to the '22 boxster. I bought an 15 pro

If I had apple stock, I'd dump it. I'm guessing the only reason these things sell is because every "influencer" has one, and every phone/computer in TVs and movies has an apple logo on it. Nothing is intuitive on this thing. Anything I want to do other than message and phone, I need to look up a youtube video. Eg, not even a "select all" or "back" capability. You can't even re-order on the default album without moving them to a separate album

The learning curve is steep. Perhaps it'll stave off dementia

Has anyone success transitioning from android to apple, or do I need to take advantage of the 2 week return?

I actually have the opposite issue. My “daily” is iPhone and I have a burner android phone which I don’t understand.

Just depends on what you're used to.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro primarily because of the camera, but it integrates perfectly into the existing Apple environment and CarPlay work fine, much better than the Porsche native PCCM stuff. However, I admit I have no clue about Android at all so would probably have the same issue in the opposite direction. I set up my iPhone myself, easy migration from my older iPhone.Do not use a huge number of Apps, obviously Waze and a few such things.

@reacp911
On a similar note, I was a long time hard core Windows user; professional engineering systems developer, etc.etc....
Once retired using a PC strictly for personal, I got totally fed up with constant updates that took forever including multi boots and the slow decay in performance demanding a complete wipe & re-install.....
I made the trepidatious move to the MAC world.

Yes, there was a steep leaning curve for a few days but once over the hump, there is no way I'm ever going back.
I have few legacy apps that only run under Windows, but Parallels solved that problem.

The point to this^ is... stick with it.
You may just grow to like the iPhone

In my experience, 100% of Android users complain about iPhones the first time they try them and 100% of iOS users complain about Android the first time they use it.

Plain as that.

You're right. After a couple of days, I'm starting to hate it less

Depending on what version of PCM you have you can get Android Auto added fairly easily with a small bit of coding. I had it added to my 2023 Macan GTS and it works great.

What's really crazy is when you go into apple stores they're jam packed with customers. I got 15 pro from freedom for $15 a month, interest free lease, $500 buyback

As someone who works in high tech.. I use android but have had to use an iPhone for a year and it was also great but too restrictive. Android it is!

I took the same approach with Tesla, can't stand them but they've paid for all my gas guzzlers many times over...

I dumped apple years ago as they are too restrictive and everything has to be their way and is very clunky and inefficient ... went to Android and adapted quickly.

Went back to apple in January for a work meeting where they were only putting the schedule on the apple phones so took out my burner. It was like 2 weeks of torture, NOTHING is intuitive and would not do the things I had been so accustomed to doing so easily.

After my two weeks of torture i couldn't get the sim back out fast enough and into my android.

Life is good again ..
