Default Porsche mission X concept is stunning

I would bet they will build this. Very detailed concept car. Probably $1m though.

Very nice... the new generation of flagship hyper cars is exciting

I would wager this will be a $3.5m CAD MSRP car

997 GT3 RS 4.0 is a $1m CAD car today
CGT is ~1.5m USD
918 is ~1.8m USD

Cool. So it's trying to look like a Senna?

I do not like it at all. I love Porsche styling because it's understated elegance. Compare it to Ferrari, Lamborghini, and the C8. To me, Porsche is like a gorgeous woman who makes your knees wobble when she's in generic jeans and a T-shirt and no makeup. Aston Martin and the F-Type are in the same camp as Porsche (but not below the skin). Not only is this 180 degrees from that, but it's really ugly. It's a mess of straight lines. There is no flow. The design language of Porsche is flow. It looks almost "pixelated" like a Lego toy. I'm a serious fan of Giugiaro, Zagato, Bertone, Pininfarina (not so much of late), but this is not in that league. If this was seen in public, debadged, about zero would guess Porsche.

Definitely not my cup of tea. Call me a dinosaur but I'm so done with chasing HP. To me a Porsche should be relatively understated and useful as a real car.

Could you imagine if Porsche made something like the Miata or GR86 or an Elise/Exige or a hot hatch or an FR layout sports coupe? And priced it under the Macan/Cayman....in other words, something an average person could afford like their cars used to be. They would never be able to make enough of them, but would be so much fun and more exciting than the Mission X as you'd actually have a chance in hell to see one, drive one, or own one.

This hypercar world is getting more and more ridiculous. Mission X is not remotely useful or interesting as an actual transportation device. The interior especially is overwrought, and the exterior is a generic-looking wind tunnel-dictated design with no discernible Porsche DNA.

Meh. Would be more interested if the powertrain was closer to the T33 or T50 vs every other electric hypercar. There are already more than enough $1M+ electric rocketships out there.

As someone who still loves conventional cars I do not disagree. However, the sad reality is that development of fhe n/a internal combustion engine has stopped and I do not see any further investment ,so I think of this car as really a sign of the future that will find its way down below the exotic level.
I will keep my cars as they are and certainly can’t afford the rumoured price of this one,but I do think it is an important development . In the end I suspect that Rimac has a critical role here in the powertrain development rather the Porsche solely. Will be interesting to see.

That would be awesome. I think it WAS the Boxster ;-)

But this is not the future direction. They are going to push up market to be more in line with Bentley and Ferrari etc...their three row EV SUV is going to be $250K-$300K CAD...already plenty of coverage about it.

Not mid-engine, give me a real trunk to make it useful...and a Boxster/Cayman these days is like $100k new after mild options and taxes, how about getting it back to $60k?
