Shippsy is cheaper, especially for larger packages. CBP has tiered pricing based on weight, they start at $7.50, but for a 50lb box for example, $18 + $10 weigh surcharge = $28 (CBP applies surcharge on every lb over 30)
Same 50lb package with Shippsy is $6.99 (they surcharge after 50lb)

*** I am already annoyed with the process I need to go thru with Shippsy so far..... uploading prove of "country of origin", uploading invoices, then waiting on their approval..... NONE of these are necessary with CBP....and I don't care if Shippsy is a few dollar cheaper....

Btw, my CBP package is showing "in-transit" since this Dec.1 morning so it should be ready for pickup in Markham on Wed Dec.2 (I hope)... or Thursday

Package Ready for pickup: ----> 3rd round goes to CBP
CBP 7:17pm on Dec.1 - received email indicate package is ready for pickup in Markham
Shippsy 7:17pm on Dec.1 - still waiting on Shippsy to approve my custom declaration before I can create an order

CBP: from package received in Niagara Falls US to package ready for pickup in Markham taking only 2 days....... this is the fastest I've experienced since using them for 20+ transactions....

Ok, Shippsy approved my custom declaration and the status changed from "Awaiting Approval" to "Ready to Ship" 48 hours after the package arrived at their US facility.....
Status still need to change to "In-transit" then "In Canada" then "Ready for Pickup"....

while my package from CBP is already waiting for me in Markham

I have two shipments coming through Shippsy. One is a tiny box, less then 1lb. The other is a set of wheels. The little guy arrived in NY on Friday, the wheels on Monday, both switched to “In Canada” status today. This tells me two things: they don’t work on weekends and size doesn’t matter🤓

When does Shippsy ask for your money ? Can you pay on the spot when you pick up the package ? Or do you have to give them you Credit Card number online ?

They send email when the package is ready. You pay and pick up anytime after that. You buy credits using Credit Card or Paypal.

So Shippsy approved my custom declaration on Dec.2 @ 2:45pm and the package status has been showing "In-transit" for the last 2 days now OMG....
Why does it take this long to drive a package from Niagara Falls to GTA

p.s. I picked up my CBP package yesterday even thought it was available for pickup on Wednesday.
