Default Group 'DIY' Oil Change

Just kicking tires on this one. Has the notion of a group oil change session ever been contemplated / carried out (non Covid world that is)?

I have never been under my Cayman but wouldn't mind becoming a little more knowledgeable about it and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I have personally done very limited wrenching over the years, save for a summer job stint in high school working at a local Mr. Lube and I have owned an older Saab and Volvo, both of which demanded some DIY skills. I'm sure there is a ton of knowledge to be transferred from many on RL to those of us that are newer to the game. I'm thinking you could get a handful of people together in a bring your own oil/filter (and take your used away), a decent set of ramps/jacks, some pizza for a local pie joint, and a handful of ON craft beers (enjoyed responsibly post wrenching of course) and you have the makings of an enjoyable afternoon.

If I'm coming from Mars on this one and/or there are 101 reasons this wouldn't work I'm cool with that as well.

Cheers.

Most weekends I am at the cottage, but wouldn’t mind a weekday evening post Covid....Think it would be fun to do a few cars. No ramps necessary......

located in Etobicoke.

Post-Covid I'd be more than happy to host wrenching/mod install/oil/whatever days. Used to do these when I owned a Mazdaspeed 3 with the locals once a month or so. I have an in floor scissor lift (zero clearance for those low vehicles) and a heated garage full of tools including air tools, cordless, speciality, etc.

This would be good, I've done lowering spring installs on my 997, front grills, oil changes.
Planning on helping a buddy do lowering springs on his hopefully in the spring (Covid allowing).

Thanks gents. Glad to see there is some interest in general. Between now and then keep safe and happy motoring. Looks like there is lots of good fall driving weather on the 14 day horizon (southern ON anyway).

Cheers.

Yup, I've got spring compressors and have done them many times before on other vehicles, never on a 997 though.
