We canceled our Roger's cable TV.

You'll need a smart TV or a box like an Apple TV. Then your local sports station should have a subscription service via an app.
I use TSN.ca (I'm in Canada) and it's great.

there is no sports on at present time worth watching IMO.
when sports was on you need to pay for a subscription to watch TSN. Rod, what sports do you want to watch? I had a subscription which cost $15/month and let you watch everything. cut cable over 2 years ago and love it!

I have a smart tv. Currently watching Netflix and YouTube.
As far as sports I usually just watch the Toronto teams.
All the Leafs games and the playoffs if the other Toronto make it that far.

Check TSN.ca. They list the games they cover. I don’t remember baseball but NHL and NBA are on for sure. F1, NASCAR and Indy are on TSN app. I tired Dazn but didn’t like it.

I have roku device. For hockey there is the the NHL app you can subsribe to but right now you can't pay for it since there is nothing new 2019-20 season are for free.
Roku is awesome, netflix, crave, prime, apple tv, google play and many free movies stuff. Currently I pay just for netflix and crave+starz but I will cancel and switch to something else when I am caught up with their exclusive content and then renew a year later to catch up again.

iptv + android box. Get 500+ channels and all the sports you can ask for including PPV. comes with a few issues but they are far outweighed by the benefits.

I also took a look and I think because there is no season right now there is no info. Last year there was certainly hockey every night and I watched lots of Leafs games.

i think a lot of what is mentioned above is illegal and is essentially stolen content, but for many people they will justify it as "grey" because by nature they are cheap and will defend their positions, so lets not go there. That said i know for a fact as many of you do, the big 3 ( Bell, Rogers Telus, ) are putting huge pressure on the the CRTC to be able to IP block for stolen content ( IP TV and your 15 dollar a month subscriptions) so the landscape may change going forward if they get their way . ( Personally i think its the governments fault in the first place for letting Bell and Rogers Collude to create a Monopoly of the market and can influence pedal at will to get their way. )

So trying to keep things out of the grey zone, how much is TSN.ca subscription exactly ?
I think with Tek Savy unlimited internet, netflix streaming and a TSN.ca service everything would be above board and you would still be way ahead.

I have already dropped my ridiculous Bell Fibe 25/10 internet and gone tech savy 150/15 at about 2/3 the price . I am now looking at Tek savy TV and other options as Rod is.

I continue to pay for satellite for home and cottage. I had android boxes for a few years for different types of content. I added chrome cast to all my tv’s and got a $100 android tablet. Now only 1 tablet to worry about updates. Basically, I can watch anything. That being said, I will not cut the cord because wife and guests want ease of use.
