Off to DFC for the 997.1...new track rods and a service, then down the the Refinery for a good Spring clean.
Then the 991 needed Spring service, and the tires were shot, so new Cup 2s, and another Spring clean
The Panamera had been winter driven, so needed snows removed, summer rims and some minor fixes, and, of course a Spring clean.
Now I will dump them back in the garage for a while...though the June 7 Rennlist drive should be fun. Thanks Gerard at Refinery for making them presentable again:. My poor old Cayenne is past being presentable but after a good service last week and a new front wheel bearing it is driving just fine
40k still pretty much collector miles. Hopefully they sent you your old parts. I'd be interested in looking at them myself in your position. Seems very weird for those to fail so early given they are not poly urathane crap that goes on regular models.
Even though that 991 RS is actually XX times better in every way I still think that car is closer to the 996 gt3 feel and rawness then any other one after it and it is the best looking Porsche car ever made, no doubt.

I have a hankering for a 996RS. Amazing car. Horrible on road though.
996 gt3 rs didn't come to North America, only gray market I am pretty sure. A UCR guy brought one from Japan recently, was at concours last year.
true but now legal to import. They are very rare indeed. I believe 542 LHD and only a single generation. Thus very expensive ,
- however , classic Porsche prices are well off their highs and hopefully will continue to drop.
I have driven a 6RS and it is far more raw than anything that followed it.
