Default Drive Festival - CTMP - Sept 11-13

This looks interesting. Not sure if any RL'ers are involved or not.

Adam Ruppel is one of the guys putting this on--don't know if he's a 'Lister but he's a long-time instructor/coach at Mosport.

Adam puts on events for a living. This will be a good one.

Thank you guys and fellow Rennlisters, I am always on this website, but do not post often! I am a Porsche fiend and lover of racing, performance driving and a coach for Driveteq.ca. I have also been creating events for my entire life - world's largest 24-hour mountain bike event - Chico Racing 24 Hours of Summer Solstice (still running under me), Canada's largest OCR Series - Mud Hero (sold my final interest last year) and during the past 3 years I have been travelling around the world benchmarking automotive events. I have partnered with National Event Management (32 Trade and Consumer Shows over 35 years) to produce Drive Festival! We are building this event a bit around Goodwood Festival of Speed with a demonstration hill-climb, 4 test tracks (performance, manufacturer, off-road, Hagerty learn to drive a stick), dynamic features, private and club displays, VIP Pavilion, manufacturer displays and electric car area. We will be at booth #129 at the Toronto Auto Show, any Rennlister is welcome to sit down in our little lounge and enjoy a cold refreshment. We are amassing collections of unreal cars for our Dream Car Speed Run (hillclimb), and we are safetying it to go reverse. I know something like this is needed to unify multiple brands, drivers, racers, enthusiasts and spectators - doesn't matter what kind of car you like, just like cars. I'm getting a 718 GT4 in May (order locked thanks Pfaff) and I'll be out and about promoting our event this spring and summer. Please email me adam@drivefestival.com . Thank you all for your kind words and support! Perhaps a Rennlister dedicated time on the hillclimb?

Hey Adam,

Clearly I'm not logging enough Cayman mileage. I've seen your car around town on a few occasions. Cheers.

LOL I checked out the website and my immediate thought is 'they're trying to emulate Goodwood Festival of Speed'! That's a great event and all the best on this one, I'll pencil it in on the calendar...

Thank you Gary! Always nice seeing you maximise the grip in that Mini, you really figure out how to get the most of it.

Thanks, that is terrific! My two major passions, cars and bicycles, probably align with yours.
