Canadian market for these cars is non-existent. I sold my white 997.1TT 6spd coupe with factory aerokit last year. Had a lineup of USA buyers paying full asking price ($93k CAD) and not even an inquiry from within Canada let alone a solid offer.
With the FX, even pre-covid & oil crash, these cars are going south - especially good ones ie the right options, condition, mileage etc...
For what it's worth, I paid Pfaff $93k in 2016, put 36k km on it over 3 years, then sold it into the US for $93k cad. Can't do that with very many cars.
If anyone here believes clean 6spd coupe 997.1 Turbos with no history or stories and less than 35k km are selling for $80k CAD, I have a bridge to sell you
Edit: that silver one posted above at $85k is $60k usd. A dealer that can avoid HST can flip that car into the USA for a tidy profit on a moment's notice if the car's as clean as stated in the ad. If one could get that car for $80k cad that would be an absolutely great deal assuming the PPI shows a good car with reasonably clean DME (which isn't addressed in the ad and will have a major bearing on price).
Well, not to bore you guys with my struggles but I now know that I have to get an automatic and I’d prefer a 997. I have foot issues that now make it too painful to operate a clutch. Also, with this home isolation thing I’m not too motivated to put my current car up for sale, and there are probably few out shopping for it, so it would be easier as a dealer trade in. But there doesn’t seem to be much out there for me to buy right now, so if I get lucky and sell mine, what if it takes a long time to find what I want? Ugh.
Picked up an 02 51k kms late feb out of the gta $60k. Bonus on the sales tax, no value listed on the ont seller package. Lapis blue. Came nicely dressed w/ rss stage 2 susp, gt2 brake conversion, fresh paint correction & ceramic +++ other bits.

I finally found my dream car! I picked it up yesterday, 07 997 turbo in silver. The PPI came back super clean other than one horn not working. Happy 50th to me.
I need to add an itranzit adapter for my phone, it should arrive in a few days. It was owned by a PCA member in Toronto if anyone recognizes it but I got it from a dealer before they could even put the pictures up.

PDK? Used to have orange stripes and orange wheels?
It’s Tiptronic. Not sure about the orange stripes and wheels. I do know the name of the previous owner but I’m not sure it’s appropriate to show it here.
Thought i'd start this thread up again instead of making a new one. I'm also shopping for a 996tt.
Looking for a manual, black or blue int, sport seats, preferably aluminum gauges. I'm not too worried about mileage since this will be a daily. Let me know if anyone has one for sale.
Funny you ask about that silver one at World fine cars. I had a deposit on it and a PPI booked at engineered automotive for it but I couldn’t test drive until just before the PPI. That’s when I realized the aftermarket clutch was way too stiff for me and it has the 2nd gear pop out issue so I walked and cancelled the PPI. It has a very old damage record on the front fender but didn’t concern me. My rep at World Fine was very nice to deal with. He did tell me later that they were going to return the clutch to stock but I had moved on. I think they have a convertible 997 stick there too.

Yeah that damage record was for 15k. I’m not too concerned about it either. The rep told me they fixed the pop out issue but I’m not sure about the clutch. How does that aftermarket exhaust sound?
