Default [THE REFINERY] A Focus On... Guards Red 930 Turbo

Hi all,

Thought you'd enjoy seeing some shots from this project: a gorgeous Guards Red 930 Turbo.

While at The Refinery, it received:
  1. 1-Step Paint Correction to perfect the finish prior to applying the protective layers
  2. XPEL Ultimate Plus front-end paint protection film (PPF)
  3. Ceramic Pro coating on all PPF, paintwork, and wheel faces
For the decontamination prep, we used the following products and tools:
The Refinery's Wash + Rinse buckets with Dirt Lock bucket insert
Gyeon "Bathe" wash soap
Gyeon Premium Wool Wash Mitt
P21S All Purpose Wash
Gyeon Iron
Gyeon Tar
Sonax Clay Disk
Gyeon "Silk Dryer" microfiber drying towel (large)

During the polishing stage, we used:
Rupes LHR15 (MKII) polisher
Rupes LHR75E polisher
Rupes Yellow (Fine) pads
Sonax Perfect Finish polish
Gyeon "Polish Wipe" microfiber towels
Gyeon PREP (for wipe-down after polishing)

On to the pics!

Looks nice.
I'm surprised you would ceramic coat on a single stage paint.

Great work as always. Just pops even more!

Paint code is Indischrot Red. Which from what I gather is the same as Guards Red but there is strong opinion that it's slightly different. Haven't gotten to the bottom of it yet.

Interesting! Very curious to hear if there was a Guards Red-like variant! Let me know what you learn

Why surprised?

This car actually has been repainted with base+clear - but ceramic coatings are compatible with single stage paints. It provides great UV protection and slows the oxidation process that can be really challenging to manage with single stage paint.
