Very sad car.
How long till we find them at the wreckers?

 

By "blown" I'm assuming they don't mean "supercharged".

 

The cost to repair the engines or replace exceeds the car as a whole.. so yes worth more in parts

 

Look. These are cars. Not faberge eggs. People used to roll them into barns/garages and forget about them for decades because they were too expensive to repair relative to their sale value. It is only the exuberance for air cooled cars that brought many of them back from the brink. Fortunately for the 996/997 cars, there is enough aftermarket support that few require having a parts car around to keep them running. Give it 10 years and many of us will see a parts car as a good investment.

Also, this is a 2002.
