Road-Force wheel balance in KW Ontario?
Hi folks, I've noticed that our Boxster S (2003) has a slight vibration at speed (>120 km/h) and have asked a local Cambridge Honda dealer if they would roadforce balance the wheels, they said no to doing it due to it being a Porsche. We've had our S2000 balanced at this Honda dealer without issues. Anyone can recommend another garage that can roadforce balance the wheels in the KW area of Ontario. The tires are all new as of this year.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/recommendations.

All, I'm not positive the vibration is wheel related, but the front and rear suspension was inspected in April by a garage that specifically works on European automobiles. I looked up online the Hunter wheel balancing manufacturer and their websites shows local to me garages that have their equipment, so found a Toyota dealer also in Cambridge that will test the wheels/tires tomorrow.
If anyone is interested in the outcome/results of the test, let me know.

Just a quick update for those who may be interested in my outcome. Toyota dealer performed the roadforce balance and found all four tires needed to be remounted and the balance adjusted. One rear wheel/tire combination was off the most which they speculated gave me the noticeable vibration at the higher speeds. After which I took the car out for a brief highway drive to confirm that the issue was resolved, and I'm happy.

Sounds like a good Toyota dealership! Glad you resolved your issue. I suspect something of similar nature is happening to my Boxster S as well.

Thats a really interesting result. had those tires been off before or are they the OE tires ?
Most quality tire shops will spin the rim on its own with no tire to make sure there are no heavy spots. If they are identified, they are matched up with the right location on markings of the tire to minimize the out of balance so a minimum of weight is added.
Believe it or not i have had tire wheel combinations in the past that have had zero weight added as they balanced out perfectly. I am surprised a Porsche wheel / tire would need completely remounting.

It is a 16 year old car, several previous owners, so who knows the whole history of the OE wheels. The tires are new Toyo (Y speed rated) type that were recommended by the local tire shop who did the initial installation and balance.
