I know this simply because it is a Carrera tail introduced in 84.
I have the same one on my SC
Okay thanks, won't feel as bad replacing it.

ET? Let me jump on google and see what that is.

Yes it is cork Interior, glad to know the proper name for it. thank you! Very curious to know if that was the original interior, as from what I can tell the original paint for this car is code 936 silver-met m ( metallic ) 2 (Zweischtverfahren)
Anybody know if they sell the horn button for that steering wheel that is the actual crest not just the print. Thanks.

Oh sorry. ET is the slang for that brake light that peers above the tail

Yeah it is very likely original interior but i know what you mean. Its an odd colour for a silver exterior.
Do you have a better pic of that tail just to be sure. Wouldn't want you ripping off a weissach. tail
A duck would look sharp !!

I think you are going to have to establish the manufacturer of that wheel to see if you can get a better button. It is not Porsche OE

Would they actually pull you over in Ontario if you take off the high mount light on the spoiler?
No they would not as SC cars never came with a 3rd brake light. I think it started with the Carrera in about 86.

I love that horn button. I had the same one in the 72. When I replaced the stock steering wheel in the 87 with a prototipo I wanted to get another one, but couldn't find it exactly, I could only find it without the clear plastic covering. If you decide to replace it, please let me know! I'd be happy to take it off your hands

Thank you! ya exactly cork on silver, then i look at porsche's speedster concept and think okay that looks awesome. lol

I googled it seems like definitely not a weissach. I'll keep my eyes peeled for local duck tail. Need to buy the jack pad for this car still, on my to do. The steering wheel is a momo prototypo, I have a friend who might machine something for me, I did find a oem crest that I like for it, still on the fence though.
