911SC new to me :D

Hello All,

Soon after I got my 997.1 C2S about 5 years ago I fell in love with the aircooled 911' s. Been lurking ever since, had a few pop up that where junk and some others that just sold with in minutes. I went to look at this car not thinking much of it as the pictures on the ad where not very good at all. As I got there, there was someone else already looking at it, which I thought oh great this thing is already sold. As soon as I walked around it and saw the condition of it, I was sold and super excited, trying to keep my composure to the seller, and not yell out YES I'll take it lol! I ended it up putting a deposit the same day and picking it up 2 days later. Part of me was thinking what did I do, I didn't even get a chance to do a safety check or anything but my gut did tell me all is good and I did see it ran and drive fine. Mechanic did go through it and some minor items that I need to address but all in all a great running car. The interior blew me away, very good condition for the age and also with 200 000 kms, still yet to confirm if that is the original colour for interior, on my to do list. I have already put on about 2500 kms in 3 months of ownership and enjoyed every minute of it. Something about the whole experience of this car that I just enjoy and keeps wanting me to drive it more and more. I am blown away by how it handles. I am learning about them as I go along. Interesting that this car has been in Ontario it's whole life; Wonder if any of you have ever owned it before. Here are some pics of it. Cheers!

Beautiful car with the best rims for this style! You crushed it man.

Would they actually pull you over in Ontario if you take off the high mount light on the spoiler?

That's a beauty. Love the interior colour!

Absolute beauty! Congrats!

Gorgeous. More interior shots please!

Agreed - I love that colour. When I redid my interior, I wanted that colour, but it's too hard to find all the pieces in good condition.

That looks like cork interior. Same colour as my 78 Sc.
Very nice car !! Congrats.

Beautiful car--best of luck with it.

And don't ruin it by taking it to the track regularly.........like I would ;)

Welcome back from the dark side...

Did you buy that from a guy in Oakville in May?

Good question, I don't think so, as you would still have brake lights, it does look goofy but I don't mind it. I had find a whole new oem black deck lid but I am on the fence, Ideally I want a duck tail. On my to do list is finding out if that spoiler is oem, From what I read that spoiler did come on some SC's. I looked all the markings on it and is definitely original Porsche.

HAHA! I need to verify what exact suspension is on this but it blows me on how well it handles. Hope to get it out to track for sure.

Thank you all for the warm wishes on this car. Definitely love it and enjoy it. I am some what happy that I got the 997 first as it makes me appreciate this car so much more and respect it. Even though there is such an age difference some of the characteristics are very much the same. The smell of this car is incredible, old leather, oil and a tiny of bit gas lol!

Well, in that case, hope to see you @ Mosport! Look for the goofy white Mini :p

My dearly-departed '70 E-Type Coupe had that exact same smell.......

That spoiler did not come stock but was added after . But it is likely a Porsche part.
I know this simply because it is a Carrera tail introduced in 84.
I have the same one on my SC
