Both the plate and model of the car are non-fatal errors, i.e. they can and will be be amended in court.
Getting it reduced monetarily and/or points-wise is the biggest waste of time and money. You either hire a lawyer ($1K+) to fight the ticket or you might as well pay it and be done with it. The issue is the hit on your insurance, and they don't care if you were going 1 km/h over the limit of 39 km/h over the limit. It still counts as the same minor conviction.

I once ignored a speeding ticket. I think I requested a trial or something and they told me I was too late. I can't remember the exact details but I was mad about it and figured they'd send a few warning letters or something.
They didn't.
I got a registered letter in the mail to let me know my license had been suspended. It was a huge hassle. Don't ignore it.
