Default Shelter Logic

Anyone have any experience with the Shelter Logic, or any portable garage shelter unit out there, I may need to park a car in there over the winter months. Concerned about the heavy snow and need to make sure it will not blow away under heavy winds. Not sure what kind of winter we have to look forward to, but want to make sure for the worse.

Looking for some feedback, I want to have access to the car during the winter in case I have the itch to drive it so not looking to store it anywhere.

I sell hundreds of them. I think they anchor down pretty well. I've never heard of them blowing away or being much bothered by heavy snow.

Do not use it unless it is on pavement. The ground moisture will eat away at everything at an alarming rate if on dirt.

I've had one for 4 years. Still in OK shape. No trouble in high winds. I weigh down the corners with cinder blocks for extra insurance. We don't get enough snow for me to comment on that...T

Gosh, I hope you're not planning to store a Porsche or some other nice car under there.

Yes, it will be on pavement and yes I plan on leaving a Porsche in there, my 2001 C4. Does this change everyone's opinions? Not advisable to store the car in the shelter?? I do have an outdoor cover I could use, but I'm worried its gonna be a pain to uncover when ever I want to take it for a drive.

I don't have a specific one yet, trying to see what other peoples experiences are. I have seen them at Crappy Tire and Princess Auto for $400-800.

I do, because we live in an historic district, and my 911 has been fine. These are tough cars. It'll get dusty from time to time, but I'd go this route before going with an outdoor cover...T

I installed a Shelter Logic garage from Canadian Tire 4 years ago and it's still going strong. I built a floor out of 4x4's and anchored the frame to it and used a plastic tarp on the floor to control the moisture. I live in Eastern Canada where we get lots pf snow during the winter, it's important to remove the snow from the roof after storms.

Spending a week a month during ski season in Quebec where they get lots of snow, several deaths a year are reported from burial while cleaning from the inside. Guess the cover is puncturing, tearing and dumping.

this is true, quebec loves their 'tempos' and every year I will read in the news paper about someone dying in one. My father and I split on one when I had my RX7, and it caved in during a snow storm. We didn't really clear off the roof at all so it was our fault....
