Talking PPI On a CPO car at Pfaff??

Hey Guys,

I think I already know the answer to this but I am going to look at an 09 Turbo Cab at Pfaff tomorrow. The car has 20k on it and they are offering an additional 2 years CPO on the car. They don't have much more info on the car in terms of service history etc. I guess it doesn't hurt to have a 3rd part inspect it or am I safe with the extra 2 years?

Also thanks Jamie140 for deciphering the dealership from another threads pictures.

TIA Richard

Mine was 8 month old with CPO from Pfaff. I took it to Autowerks for PPI for peace of mind and a second look.

Remember. Up to two panels can be repainted and still be CPO. Make sure to check the car over well before signing a deal.

I would definitely get another opinion regardless... including paint!

Went to see the car Saturday. As it turns out now it is not CPO...which is fine but the price seems pretty steep for the car. I know it's an 09 so it is relatively rare but 20K more than any other 997.1 Turbo in Canada basically. I think I will keep looking. The peace of mind with the CPO was helping me with the price lol

Thanks for the input everyone!

I went to look at a CPO SQ5 at midtown Audi. It qualified for the OOOO certified.
New tires, new front rotors and pads, rear rotors resurfaced and pads.
I asked if it had a clean car fax? They said on $4k claim. They could not tell me what the claim was for?
Upon driving the car, I noticed a stone chip in the windshield, drives side, 8" above the wiper arm.
That should have never passed inspection. You are ultimately responsible for your own due diligence.
I know you passed on that vehicle, I would always try and get an independent PPi.

They were actually ok with sending the car out for a PPI but we never got that far.

Interesting. Bought my ‘11 c4s from Pfaff earlier this year. It was advertised as cpo, which is also what atttacted me to the car. Only near the end of the negotiations and once we had ageed on price was I informed that it was not!

So what did you end up doing? Obviously you bought it but did you renegotiate the price?

It was/is my c4s, so yes did buy the car. It had pretty much all that I wanted on it, was the right colour (for me), had low kms, etc. and there weren't a lot of 997.2 c4s's around, so they knew they had a good product. We did come to terms that I was good with, but certainly it was not what I would call a trust-building experience. Would I have gone to look at the car in the first place .... really not sure that I would have.
Now that it's long since said and done, I am happy with the car.
