Rolex Dealers and Discounts

Pre-existing relationship or not, good luck getting a discount on a stainless sport-model Rolex at this point in time. I've purchased two Rolexes from my AD in the past 8 months (GMT TT and DJ41, both of which they obviously gave me a significant discount on) and they flat out refused to discount a 114060 I was interested in a few weeks back. And to give you an idea of the relationship I have with them, in the past 4 months I've been offered a Sub-LV and last time I was in there, they pulled out the first SD43 they received from the back and also offered that to me (I passed; too big for my 7" wrist).
Generally, the best prices I've found in Canada for new Rolexes are from user canwatchco on RolexForums.com. And for lightly used, watchfinder.ca used to have good prices.
Good luck!

id have to agree. I've never bought a rolex on kijiji but just for fun i took a look and came across this (no affiliation and have not checked marketing pricing to verify the ad)

it's not a submariner, or a sporty daytona and is the classic DJ... but it's very classy beautiful + of course timeless. the ad claims worn 3 times and comes with all papers receipts etc.
OP if the ad was truthful and the pricing was good, it would fit the bill (at least to me) of being brand new mint condtion while satisfying the 15% discount (if not a tad more). Just a thought.

There's no way he paid $13k + tax for that unless he likes getting ripped off. If he was just a walk in he most likely paid around d $12,500 after tax. I wouldnt pay more than $10k for this and that's being generous.
I bought my wife the exact same watch and paid a lot less brand new from my AD.

I have that watch also with a silver dial. Looks great with a suit. My sub is my everyday watch, but I am going to put my name on the wait list for a SS Daytona...then i’m Done 😀

Well, considering we're all here If any of my fellow RL'ers are interested, I have a BLNR for sale with full kit, local Toronto AD watch, under warranty until October 3rd 2020. I haven't gotten around to posting it on CWC, haven't been in a real rush to sell it as I do love it...
Head is in great condition. Only some superficial marks & swirlies on the highly polished areas. Bezel and crystal are flawless.
The bracelet, having polished center links, has lots of swirls on the side that rests on the desk and a small scuff on the clasp. A polishing would return it to brand new condition. The inevitable swirls and marks on the bracelet never bother me as I know if I get it polished, they'll just come back as I actually wear my watches!
Asking $10,100 for it. $100 less than MSRP, no tax and no wait. Cash in the GTA or wire / e-transfer for reputable members outside of the GTA. Add ~$75 for Parcel Pro fully insured shipping within Canada.

Anyone know the typical wait time for an SS Daytona? I’m going to put my name on a list soon...
