Tough times eh?

I just don't know how you will live with yourself having 'only' a 991 GT3 and GT4.

You need to go down to that beach again, sun bathe the afternoon away and contemplate these problems..........

I'd give my left nut for one of those!!! It's not RUF vin and it's only a grade 3. But it's a 3.4 CTR If no one else has an interest I might try a bid on it? Nik I'm travelling roaming 3G do you have reserve. I'm guessing will go over 10 mill yen easy...

nzskater 03-03-2015 04:25 PM

Starting bid is ¥19,800,000. You might need to give up both of them...

I agree the grading isnt great, just ok. About the condition of a standard 10 year old NZ car?
Are you sure its not real? Ive heard other places that the VIN is correct.
A kind of rule of thumb is Japanese car auctions sell for around double the start price.

Potentially a big price/value difference if not a RUF vin. Definitely need to clarify that

Not really - it's a good car, but I've had my time and my fun.

I'm not sure I see them as long term keepers (forever). I can't afford a collection, so will have to enjoy chopping and changing to experience the many cars I want to own.

Its not a a RUF vin of that I'm 100%. The car could be based on 72 chassis as has side oil filler behind passenger door. I can't read Japanese but there may be some note of an issue with transmission or engine. For the start price I won't touch it it's too rich for me any way too risky with no provenience known. This type of car better bought from a specialist probably. I've been looking a few Japanese porsche for Vanuatu lately and even a 17 year old boxster is usually a 3.5-4.0.

Paul the NZ retail for the spec of 991 GT3RS I would want in Lava Orange with a few options is 377,000 NZD with on road cost (base is 360000 + ORC). Private import 90k less. U got the brochure last night with the press pack when the embargo ended and I went through it in detail and in short I'm very happy with my GT3 for the money!! Infact I expect the 991 GT3 has just got more popular!! If I had taken an RS I would have had to give up the GT4 and GT3 to justify it!!

I'm with you brother. Never look back I say! I've not regretted selling a single Porsche. If I were in NZ Id be trying them all out over time...

Standard on the CTR, relocated for intercooler fitment.

It's a full Ruf, not sure on Vin cross reference and not one of the 29 lightweight as it's turbo bodied.
Everything about it is Ruf , rain gutters mirrors , gauges the lot.
220k is a bit of coin but what would a stock 930 go for plus mods ?

Yes but when did RUF vin start WPOzzzz?

Sorry Matt can't match you for Google resources today as driving 400km to Acapulco today and having to rely on mobile network and dodgy memory.

It had all the RUF gear that I can see on my iPhone but no integrated cage. RUF could do all these mods to customer cars. They only built 24 or so with RUF in from memory?

The market for a good one hard to establish. A few years ago the Dark red one sold in USA IIRC and now looking 400k. +++
