Default Paragon COIL-OVER KIT - FRONT

Question.... With this kit, does anyone know if I could use the stock top mount with bushing? The instructions don't mention and I haven't had a chance to call them. What have others done with this upgrade? Very curious how it is put together with the shorter springs than the stock. I chose the 275 lb springs with new Koni recommended shocks. Thx

What would normally be a stationary lower spring rest perch on your stock shocks is now a threaded adjustable (vertically) perch that takes up distance for the shorter spring.
Just be careful with ride height (for other reasons too), make sure to install the new bump stop and periodically inspect it.
On a lowered car, won't take much to damage these shocks and the bump stop is the safety.

Thanks. How do you tighten this shock nut without the shock rod from spinning? This is the top of the new Koni adjustable shock in the stock top mount.

Generally, an impact will outrun the rotation of the shock shaft and tighten up.

Optionally, you hold the hex near the adjuster and turn the nut separately but in the real world, use a rag or two pieces of wooden paint stirring paddle as protection and sneak a pair of vise grips near the top under the strut mount and clamp the shaft up high where even if you mark the shaft, it will never compress far enough to be even near the seal to do any damage.

TO OP Glen's original question, what shock to go with, for us, it's LEDA take offs from all the people that thought $6-$8k was the answer to why they were slower....
