Not trying to be douche, rules are rules. Just wondering if it's normal - or if someone already thinks I'm a douche.

Mostly just worried it's gonna cut into my drinking time. (And by drinking I mean fixing stuff I broke).

Just think of it as an opportunity to find out who will give you more racing room.

I wasn't talking about you - sorry if it came off that way.

Two guys in my class were over the top about not needing to be there in their opinion.

One guy, and I remember this quite clearly, kept talking about how he has been racing for 40 years and how he was national champion in Jamaica in the 70s. Jamaica has a race track? That is what I meant by douchey.

On a completely different topic I have found that sometimes drinking does help you fix stuff you break! Or at least deal with it better.

It's completely normal. There have been some recent rule changes that have been tough for people to get into their head so you will likely not be the only one.

Topher's car is done - wrap was applied the other day - here it is in progress....

My car is about 80% right now, but the guys have been working long hours at the shop and will have it ready.

Looks awesome and glad you're going to make it! Make sure it's torqued correctly in that haste!

The pro racer in the rookie orientation session at Sebring in 2015 was Justin Wilson. Super nice guy and a great racer. He left us way too soon!

You were there? He was a cool dude. Instead of acting the "pro racer" he just looked like he was happy to be there.

On track I thought I was hustling and I think he was driving the Park Place Porsche and he passed me as though I was in reverse. It is cool to know I was on track with him. Damn shame.

I land 2:15, If you can't find an earlier ride, you're welcome to catch a lift with me.
