LOL, I hope it won't be the end but Porsche racing technology usually trickle down to their production line. I think mid engine 911 would be awesome like Corvette soon to be mid engine too.

Porsche racing success usually trickle down to their production line, I think mid-engine 911 would totally kill the success of Cayman GT4. However, Corvette is developing mid-engine and the world already know mid-engine platform is superior to rear bias engine, I would welcome the changes but prolly keep my 997 much longer too.

I'm excited if that car is the future we can get the Mezger back! The reality is it will happen eventually but I don't think it will be extremely soon.

I'm feeling it, too.

Like we use the back seats anyway…

Supposedly the next gen Vette will be mid engine as well.

Video from Sebring.

The new rsr engine is a true dry sump DI flat 6, very mezger like according to my contacts.

What about tradition? Would they be called 911's still? Ummm, not sure I like this idea. We'll see what we shall see.

Ferrari, Audi, Ford and now Porsche. Wonder when Corvette will move their motor aft?
