It all started with this doing Autocross then HPDE
That was to pretty to turn into a track rat so I sold it then stumbled onto this:
That lasted a couple of years then I was fired/laid off/retired so I needed to be fiscally responsible so away it went to be replaced with this toy which I can do most of the wrenching , is much cheaper to run and I can afford to blow it up:
I kinda like this one. Early days in our car back in 2014 but passing the much heralded club record holder in his lightened & modified 996GT2 and going on to pass the 962 Replica into the next corner. Was a nice little reward for much prior Blood, Sweat n Tears.
2nd one from last year. A lot of G's going through those tyres.
I think it might be turn 4. Looking at the track today, I don't see any bridge in that location, but from that old photo, turn 4 has to be it.
Researching for the corner number, I realized it was not '74, but June 14th 1975.
I had never seen the track before, but managed to qualify 4th behind Redman, Holbert, Gregg, then Haywood was 5th. There was good competition from 10 other RSRs, for the 100 mile race. Not sure what happened, but I finished 7th. I was just 26 years old and it was my second season in IMSA and third year in racing, so did not have much experience driving, or owning a race team. Mosport was a very fast circuit and got your full attention. I do remember how beautiful that part of Canada was and regret never going back there to race.
