Why so much discussion about what's right or wrong?
There's no need to create our own set of rules in the USA. That's what PWC got right. They just use the BoP of FiA GT3, which is used in the rest of World and works.
IMSA should just follow through and forget about their GT America BoP, which is just a political way on making some manufacturers faster than other for the right or wrong reasons.
Even if it were a fair process; its totally inefficient to have two parallel pools of $ and resources devoted to a BoP process for the SAME cars!!! Are USA tracks that different than those in Europe or Asia?

On the other hand, Im pretty sure that if you go and look at the rules and regulations for Oval racing in the rest of the World (I know Mexico and UK have a good series); those will be very close to a copycat of NASCAR's....
Let's go Metric in GT Racing!!!

Would also suggest that they follow local yellow and code 60 rules too. I am bored with all of the full course cautions.

I believe that PWC does make some "tweaks" to the BOP that are different than SRO and the manufacturers/teams are definitely working the process. I've heard that some changes are needed to reflect the differences in tracks in the US v. Europe. We tend to have tracks with more and slower 2/3rd gear corners than Europe.
From memory (and I could be mistaken), my car was homologated with a 65mm restrictor but after some confusion we were allowed to use a 72mm restrictor. Funny thing about that is Porsche does not make a 72mm restrictor - we had to purchase it from Manthey.
