But I think I'd have to go with a 904. I'm a fan of naturally aspirated, really light and simple cars. Plus, I think it's got to be the best looking german car ever produced. Make mine red.

We have done a ton of upgrades to the GT4 platform and the car is an absolute dream to drive, however when the car was in stock form it was just OK IMO.

OP : If $ were no object I'd own 65-70 cars
10 for track (all of those prev mentioned would be candidates)
5 big rig haulers diesel of course
15-20 vintage Germans and Italians
Coupla vintage Muscle cars, coupla vintage Brits
At LEAST ONE F1 car
at LEAST one car driver by Newman or McQueen, pref both, pref podium cars.
An Indy car, 2 Indy lights cars,
3 Oval track cars pref in lurid colors
A "Skittles" multicolor collection of vintage 911s and VeeDub Bugs
Would love to own a VW Thing and Campervan
And an olive-green Kahrmann
And. Pastel peach colored Merc Pagoda; the SL250 model or 190 model; pref both REALLY
DD s would be all recent model Bimmers and Mercs for da fam.
All MY DDs would be old-skool no power steering 3 pedal early to mid 1980s cars: the Krauts and must include a Datsun 280 z, Toyota Corona heck even a 1967 GTO!
And so on....

Was thinking about my beloved Cayman R today, and I started musing "what if I had enough money that I could buy the Porsche of my choice, would I choose differently?"
I think I'm being honest with myself when I say, I would stick with my R. First off I love the kermit the frog green and more importantly this is the first car I ever felt like I "put on" when I sit in the driver's seat. I feel like I have absolute control of this car at all times, and equally important in my case I feel like I haven't come close to exploiting the full potential of this car so what's the point of getting something faster or more powerful if I can't even max out what I have. Also, I was lucky enough to recently drive a GT4 and an older GT3 and honestly (and I admit one needs more than a couple minutes to get to know a car) I didn't feel anything like the "seat of the pants" connection I have to my R.
Anyways, just wondering . . . if you had all the money in the world would you buy the latest and greatest or would you be happy with what you have?

Money no object, I'd keep the cars I have and add a 910. Maybe a 911 GT1 (#993-117) if turbo lag is not bad.
