Hey Phil, Len here! Great post! I like washing the car the next day, process is always the same:
- Pressure wash all surface contaminants with clear water first
- Treat any chunky stuck on debris with Tarminator (or similar product)
- Pressure wash treated areas
- Power foam spray entire car and let run down a bit
- Hand wash with the two bucket system and a generous amount of sudsy water and large microfiber towel
- Pressure wash rinse the car
- Dedicated leaf blow dry car
- Speed Shine entire car (in sections) with a clean thick micro fiber towel
- Clay bar any remnant crap on car and speed shine area again
- side note - I typically do the wheels first when I wash my car, but after a track event there is so much brake dust I like taking the wheels off the car and really giving them a thorough "bath"
Just another point, I still haven't gotten to the removal of the rubber streak marks yet as I had to put new rotors on.
