Default Curious...washing after DE

I'm curious... who here washes their car ASAP after a DE?

While I don't mind my ride getting 'used' and dirty while participating in a DE... I can't stand the 'track filth' for long afterwards. I like to give it a nice bath the day after. However, I don't/haven't yet taken the time to remove the tire rubber 'battle scars'. I don't mind them. It's the dirt / brake dust / etc... that irks me.

What's YOUR process after a DE event?

The day after, get the car on the lift and do a complete visual inspection- clean tires/wheels -looking for blisters, cuts, any signs of wheel cracks , inspect brakes (measure pads/rotors) check for any leaks, looseness of any suspension components, exhaust, etc. Mostly the same stuff needed for a tech form. That way if there are any issues there is time before the next event. A day or two later wash the car, use Mother's R3 for the rubber marks. Clean the interior- if there was any off track excursion may take a little longer to clean out...

i take my car to a hand car wash the next day, then do an interior clean myself and remove rubber marks as needed

assuming i don't sense anything being wrong, every 5-6 track days I take car to my shop for inspection, nuts and bolts tighten, and fluids change

If you care about the appearance of your wheels, clean the brake dust off sooner rather than later. If PFC dust is left on them for any length of time, it can be very difficult to remove.

I pressure wash, maybe foam and rinse
and do a pass of R3 Rubber Remover the night I get back.
I've learned to wear gloves for the R3 - somewhat irritating
on my hands.

Then full detail the next weekend that I'm not going back to the track.

This week was lazy, and only removed the black marks on the front half,
going back next week...

I drive a spec Miata. I consider the dirt to be kind of like a clear bra.

I have all the wand washes near the tracks I go to scoped out--I blast the excess off after each track day, then a full detail when I get home.

I find the longer that rubber skid marks sit, the harder they are to get off - so I usually R3 the next day. Then next weekend, I remove wheels to clean and scrape off the marbles (funny how some tracks are SO much worse). Then a wash.

I have to wait until the weekend, so I wait until then, but first use R3 and foam bath with the pressure washer and hand wash immediately after. Then wheels off, detail calipers, detail barrels and rack, replace with street set. Interior the following weekend.

I usually wash it the next weekend. I drive my car to the track so the bugs splattered combined with the rubber streaks are tougher to get out if left for too long.

I have a quandary - I like a clean car but I hate cleaning it.

During a track day I usually R3 the bigger rubber marks off of it. When it goes in for tech my shop is nice enough to wash it.

I typically clean it up before the next event. Black car is pretty when clean. Also faster.

DE event last month at Watkins Glen, it rained a couple of sessions.

Two days after it was real tough to get off oil spots all over the car.

I think next DE, I will apply extra coat of wax to make clean a little easier.

Heck, I'd wash it at the track if it didn't further delay my trip home.
I hate a dirty car. Or more accurately, I hate it when my car is dirty.
So, I wash the car (including wheels) as soon as I can, having first removed as many of the rubber marks as possible.
After that it's up on the stands for a full inspection of car, remove wheels and inspect, check tire condition, bleed brakes and fluid changes as needed. Order parts if needed.
Oh, and download data and video, do something useful with it, and start pine-ing for the next event.
