My business is a ClearPlex dealer/installer and I can tell you that waxing it with the Clear-X HD is paramount in making it last and also for it to work from rock impacts. Once it gets dry and brittle, it scratches easily and will not take impacts as well.

So, I installed a Clearplex shield I bought on here a while ago (might have been from you?). Install went fine and it's actually quite nice but I have one "finger" left on the right side of the windshield. (area not stuck down the size of a finger, like an air bubble at the edge)

I had a few of these "fingers" all around and managed to get rid of them with pressure and a heat gun, but this one just kept coming back.

Now that I've driven the car at a few events, there is some contamination between the glass and Clearplex, in the "finger" (not much, it's just no longer perfectly clean): Can I do anything to get rid of it? Cut it open and tape it? Put some kind of glue in there? Anything?

Oh, and thanks for the comment re the Clear-X, I hadn't decided to use it, but now I will.

Clearplex user here. Saved my windshield on more than one occasion.

Will probably replace it this year (2 years this July).
