Yep, for the first time in 10 years or so I really couldn't care less about this year's championship. Maybe next year.
Though, I'll watch this w/e's race because it's at COTA.
I've enjoyed Red Bull GRC more this year than F1.

Red Bull GRC? I'm quite surprised to hear this, I enjoy European style rallycross, but find GRC's course design to be quite lacking. I quite enjoy ERC and World RX though as the races go beyond a race to the first corner. I'm glad to hear of someone else with an interest in the format though.

Racing series ebb and flow.
F1 today is all about global TV revenue on anodyne tracks funded by corrupt regimes looking to buy credibility by throwing quillions of local currency at Bernie... plus the obligatory annual Opera Buffa at Monza.
I remember when F1 could barely field 8-10 cars.
IMSA once dominated Sportscar racing, and Indycar was the best open wheel series in the world. NASCAR used to sell out Daytona.
Right now, I find endurance racing to be the most dynamic series... top pros driving relevant cars with lots of manufacturer support. Cool.

Speaking of series...the Unified Sports car league blows. Keep Rolex Prototype cars separate from ALMS P2 cars. I still view F1 #1 followed by WEC and then the Unified suck series. The best racing is in MotoGP. Mark Marquez is a phenom.
