Somebody's attempt at driver adjustable fuel pressure? Until a scrut pointed out fuel lines in the cockpit are a really, really bad idea? I can't think of anything else that would be that pressure range.

Weird homemade pre-oiling system? I.e. accusump but with a strange manual valve arrangement? Could have been hooked up to a front mounted oil tank. Although the lines are kind of small for that purpose.

air adjustable suspension? Airbags maybe or early E hydromatic struts? Range on the guages might be too low but with a pressure reducers they could be bleeds for shock canisters... If it came from Europe hard to say.

Im talking about the lines that are connected right next to (on top of) the steering shaft. I was under the impression that the capped off lines in the smugglers hold were connected to the valve.

Yep, was thinking that, too. Pressures would correspond...

The thread would head off in a deep back and forth about the lines being "tubing" or "braided sheath line" and then into the ratings of said lines with a sub thread about the pressure ratings being static or not and at what temp the max pressure is and what does static pressure mean anyway then off into min bend rad and the chart on derating per the amount and number of bends in the line (or is that tubing?) with charts and graphs (and circles and arrows pointing the pile of garbage "Officer Obe, I cannot tell a lie, I put that letter under that garbage") with the original question left dangling.
