To be fair qual times don't mean much over the course of 24 hours... lasting, that does.

Le Mans Legends Group C ("... a field of some 30 star cars from endurance in the 80s: Sauber-Mercedes-Benz, Porsche 962s, Jaguar XJR9s, Spices, March-Chevrolet 84Gs, Ford C100s, etc... ") starts in just over 50 minutes - 1600CET, 1000EDT/0900CDT/0700PDT. You can watch live coverage on Le Mans TV - Le Mans TV Live Streaming . Awesome stuff. More qualifying sessions AND the Carrera Cup-France qualifying today as well. Great day to watch racing online!!!!

And FYI, the ACO/WEC has released a very good iPad app this year. Initial download is free, and for $10.99 additional features like live timing and scoring and an expanded set of live streams are available. Watched qualifying yesterday afternoon and the streaming quality was very good. Well worth the $10.99.

The Dempsey Racing #77 is only 1.5 seconds off the pace of the Manthey #92 car and .5 seconds off the pace of the Manthey #91 car. And 2.2 seconds off the pace of the leading GTE Ferrari. Not too bad for a "GTE-Am" team!

It certainly looks like this will be a good weekending of racing! Wish I were there. It's on my "bucket-list".

how does it work with taht crashed audi? can they replace it, repair it? can they move those drivesr to other cars like the movie Le Man? i remember when we had that GT1 the story was they crashed it in practice and flew to germany and pinched a boatload of parts from a car in the museum to fly back to leman to fix the car and eventually do quite well. i think that was like 1996, 1997.
just curious what happens to that crashed car entrya dn its drivers...if anyone knows.

Car rebuilt. Gene taking over Duval's seat.

Meanwhile Craft-Bamboo Aston team pulled out after their practice crash. Unrepairable.
