Someone posted here but I can't find it... what organization is running a track day on thursday march 27?

That's what I thought but I couldn't find any info about it on their website. Guess a phone call is in order.

Yes, you actually have to call the track. Amazing that it is 2014 and their website is still circa 1977

 

I called the track. You don't sign up in advance. You just show up Thursday Morning, sign a waiver, pay the fee, and you are in. Sounds painfully easy.....

 

Is it on? About a month ago, I talked to a guy there, I think his name is Skip? who indicated that Audi had it rented that day for testing, but he wasn't sure if they were going to keep it.

 

I spoke with a gal, she confirmed the date and said it was on. Now you have me worried

 

I was there a couple years ago and Audi was there on the Wednesday. Pretty cool.

No, like I said, the guy I talked to was a month ago. He wsa trying to verify with Audi about that last day. Sounds like they may overbook early, then give up days or something. Unfortunately, with the new ownership, the guy was new to the track, and wasn't completely familiar with SOP's.

According to Road Atlanta the thursday test day is absolutely "on".

Gates open 5pm wednesday for trailers. Registration 5-7pm, and then again at 7am thursday morning.

No advance registration. Sign waiver, $250, have at it.

Bring rain tires

 

If everyone brings rain tires we will be assured of good weather. Great advice. I'm packing my chains as well.
