FS 2002 Boxster 3.4 Conversion Full Cage
****SOLD****
Hi Everyone,
Speedsport Tuning who built my Pawxster v2.0 is now selling the car for me.
This is a fast well-prepared well-sorted 2002 Boxster with a 3.4 conversion. At Mont Tremblant the car was running 1:55. While I don't have Watkins Glen data, the Pawxster v1.0 (identical car) ran 2:09.8.
This is a great track car and I am selling it to focus on open wheel this season. I do not know what race classes it would fall in. For me it has just been a fun track day car.
There are numerous goodies in the car and I'm happy to answer any questions by PM or you can call Speedsport and speak to Spencer *** or Chris Provan.
ASKING $25000 and all serious Rennlister offers will be considered!!!!!!!!
This is the EBay description at http://www.ebay.com/itm/191071292375...84.m1423.l2649
Full Cage, 3.4 conversion, Big Brakes, Race Car.
This 2002 Porsche Boxster race car has been repowered with a 3.4 liter Porsche engine upgrade. It is track prepared with a full cage, GiroDisc big brake kit, Bilstein PSS9 suspension, Fabspeed exhaust, quick disconnect steering wheel, OMP driver seat and harnesses, ready to go to the track. Transmission freshly rebuilt and oil cooler plumbed in for track purpose. Extra wheel sets come with this car, new O.Z. Alleggerita, finished in Anthracite Grey, with less than one day track use. Asking $25,000. Contact Chris Provan 203.730.0311 for further information. This car is ready to go set fast laps!

Car has 6-speed and LSD. IIRC the car makes about 30 more HP than a stock 996 3.4 and was dynoed in 2013. Maybe I can get Spencer to post the dyno sheets or I can get them. I will see if Spencer can figure out the engine hours. The motor was bought from Porsche in 2012 and run in the Pawxster v1.0 until it crashed. The hours are not very high but I'll ask Spencer to figure that out.
The cage is really beautiful and was made by Kenny Conway in MA. I believe the cage is identical to the one in Jupeman and 38D's SPBs as they were all done at the same time. Will get some pics up.

I saw this car at LCMT,it is very nice indeed ... and a 1:55 is pretty decent as it's just a few seconds off a well driven GT3.
Love the color !

I have had some requests for pics of the cage. These pics are from the original car which was black but the cage is the same.
The dyno in 2013 showed 318 hp and the car was run for 1 day afterwards. The Porsche crate motor has about 10 days total on it and had the LN IMG fix done at Speedsport.
Speedsport will get me the last weight and I'll add it to the thread next week.
Please note these are old pics and the seats/harnesses are not what is in the current car. Current car for sale has brand new OMP HTE seat and up to date Schroth harnesses with HANS friendly narrow shoulder straps. The cage is also padded in most spots now.

These are some representative laps of Watkins Glen which gives a good feel of the cornering and acceleration. The current car now has the bigger brakes (with giro disc) and more rubber with the almost new 18" OZ wheels. This video is with the 17" stock rims and 245 square rubber.
