It is a 20 minute (easy highway drive) from the airport to the convention center. There is a shuttle service (go green shuttle) that cost $20 R/T from the airport and you avoid downtown parking $$.

If you are just in and out for the show take a cab. If you are going to be there for a couple days get a car. Indy isn't a place where you just jump in a cab and go anywhere other than the airport and the convention center.

Cool. Thanks guys. I'm going to be there for 3 days. Really looking forward to it. Wished I had attended in Orlando.

It's a trade show closed to the general public. Indy is much more centrally located, and with the heart of open wheel racing based in Indy, it seems to be a bit of a no-brainer to me. Charlotte would be the only other thing that would make sense. I'd mentioned earlier, Orlando was so poorly recieved that PRI bought out two years of their contract with Orlando to get it back to Indy.

I hate the cold weather as much as anyone, but the only reason we didn't pull out after last year was because of feedback from some customers over the overall quality of the show at Indy compared to Orlando.

Speaking of Charlotte. This is coming in 14':

It will be SCCA focused but the concentration will be road racing.

Also, Disney is doing:

Not sure how good it will be. Looks like a filler that will take the place of PRI Orlando. But, if you live close by, might be worth checking out.

Since this is your first time I would suggest checking the list of companies that you want to see and see them first. If this show is like it was before the move and split it will be huge. No longer do the vendors have to decide which show to go to (Indy or Orlando). They're all forced back to Indy. Wear comfortable shoes. Ask the vendors to mail any catalogs to you, or the airline will love you when you show up with a 150 lb bag to check.

Thanks Bill. Most of the time I collect a bunch of crap without realizing weight matters on flights. Great tips. I will narrow down the areas I want to see. But, you're right, this thing is huge!

I will be there for the first time and for all three days. I've heard it takes that long to see everything. As a Millers Oils and BRAID wheels dealer in Canada it makes sense to be there. Hope to see some of you there.
