Please help me make decisions on my new Cayman track car
Spencer *** (Speedsport Tuning) and I are going to build a Cayman S track car for me (well, his shop is doing the building, I am writing the checks and providing input). The car will be built to fit into racing classes except for perhaps a few reversible details (like the wing; gotta have aero).
I need to think about such vital things as colors.
Original idea was to build a tribute car; that is, adapt a Porsche livery, probably from the 962/956 era. I love the Interseries car approach.
The donor car is silver (2009 Cayman S with 8,000 miles) with a black interior (but a lot of that black interior goes away with the gutting, so I guess it will become a silver interior). It will be gutted and a full cage and halo seats will be installed.
I haven't been able to come up with a silver-based livery yet (i.e., livery applied onto a silver car) as I looked at the 962/956 era cars. Also I am not sure I can spring for the livery just yet, as the car is going to cost me more than I had hoped, but I ought to plan for it. In the meantime, I can just do the numbers.
So - I am looking for design and color ideas for the car.
* Can you you suggest any particular liveries that might look good on a silver Cayman? (pics are encouraged)
* If not, design suggestions (or even color suggestions) would be helpful
* Assuming that the seats are black, what color belts? I expect to continue with the Schroths, which come in blue and red (like to avoid black in a black interior)
* The cage will be painted. Should I have it done in black (the interior color) or in one of the colors from the car's livery?
* Interseries-type wing will be painted. Should I have it done in body color or something else? The wing itself? Uprights?
* Suggestions for potential graphics designers might be useful, too.
Really would love ideas. Thanks

Damned hard to avoid them.
I was close on a Jagermeister Cayman (not from the Interseries),but the owner wasn't ready to sell. Would have been fun next to yours.
My new build, while more expensive, does get me the advantages of a new build.
I am now convinced I have the world's most understanding wife.

Rick,
You want to get the Schroth Enduro belts and I think they only come in black:

Since all the interseries cars pretty much have all of the possible lemans porsche livery, I think you should go with something recent. I love the GT3 hybrid colors. Paint the roll bar orange or silver... maybe even have a the belts colored orange? I'm a little partial to orange if you cant tell. Looking forward to updates on your build.
