Interesting pass at 1:00 in that second video! That must be the AWD line.

Patrick, I'm glad to see you back out there, and the car looks awesome!

Patrick and I have been in contact over the last few months, but this project is all his doing (thank you very much though, Gary!). I was advising him that he might have too much wing on there, from my experience, but then he showed me pictures of his motor and it's obvious that he's in a whole other dimension! Clearly one of the wildest and nicest 944's on the planet.

Thanks all for the kind words. Indeed a long and exhausting journey at times but also a lot of learning which is great. Got a few more pics from the meeting.

Bit of incar footage during test days prior to the event. This is with Paul (builder/driver) at the wheel on scrubbed medium R spec rubber. Churning through 1:35's with ease. When I was last on this track with the car a lot less developed I did a 1:45 for comparison. Seems like a decent improvement.

Nice in car footage... Are my eyes deceiving me or did you never grab a higher gear than 3rd and it looks like you dropped down to 1st on a number of turns. I was reading the gauge which I believe displays gear. Are you running a 6 speed 968 or the 951 5 speed?

6 speed. Never lower than 3rd gear.

I've been to Sydney, but didn't realize that there was this facility so close by. Looks really nice, and I see there is a drag strip and kart track on site as well.

I think you should check that your seat is secure, Patrick. I see movement in there.

There is, either sloppy sliders or it's simply loose. I hear Porsche Cup sliders are good...

Might be seat flex as it's bolted to the floor (no sliders)...but I'll check it.

It's not a bad complex Frank and they've spent a bit of money on it lately. Unfortunately for a city with about 5 million people, we only have one track! Unlike the US where you guys seem to have a track in every town, we probably don't even have 20 in the whole country. Guess that's what you get with 290,000,000 less people in a similar sized land mass!

That's funny, because I was just starting to think that there seems to be a lot of tracks in Australia, and a very healthy motorsports following! We don't have "a track in every town", by any means. But, I have to admit, I can trailer to any of 7 or 8 circuits in under 5 hours, with more on the way.

There's a healthy motorsports following for sure but we just don't have the population to develop the infrastructure like the US has. Just had a quick look on Wiki. The track amount difference between countries is considerable.
