Rush

I think it was Cevert's car in the movie, but followed Koinigg's crash. There's a picture from Rush on the web which shows Helmsworth walking the set of the crash and next to that crash there's a severed head/helmet.

Koinigg was decapitated while sliding under the guardrail, Cevert was sliding on top and cut to pieces, feels like yesterday despite it was 40 years ago.
Racing was absolutely brutal in regards to fatalities in those days and the racers accepted it, when asked why he did not stop while Roger Williamson was burning to death, Lauda replied " I get paid to drive, not to stop"
Also , Lauda got the attention of Enzo Ferrari in the opening laps with some impressive driving during the Monaco GP while racing the BRM, the phone rang and the rest is history.

I just watched it this past weekend. Absolutely required viewing if you like F1 from the 60's and 70's. Well worth the $4.99 rental in iTunes.
