I know this track is one of the longest running chimeras going but I was chatting with a BMW guy last night who knows the owner and swears that it's a go.

Anyone else have any updates or hear anything?

Has Hell frozen over?
I believe that was the signal for the start of this project...

Last I heard the kart track was to precede the full size track...

It's been long reported the track is being developed by SCCA New England region.

Not true. At least 6 months ago it was made clear the rights to the land and developing the track was being sold. This was after NER SCCA figured out they could not due it themselves after Pappas (of Black Swan Racing) pulled out.

According to the SCCA minutes, there was someone who was willing to buy it, but the land owner was not honoring the option in the contract to sell the contract (and the previous lease payments which were not insubstantial).

With a new track already under construction in Thompson CT (32 miles away from Palmer) I doubt the Palmer track is ever going to happen...... it would be great, but highly doubtfull....

I wouldn't be surprised. The people are very invested in Palmer and want it to happen. There is a new person who is supposed to have the means to buy it, complete it, and operate the track. Let's hope it does happen.

Oh, this would be so great; the haul to Watkins Glen and Tremblant are starting to feel a bit long.
I love the article comment "These clubs exist for luxury car owners."
Some of our cars haven't been in the luxury class for a long time.

Jeez, now I feel like a wimp. After all, I was in my lux F250, no urban roads, and Joanie was along to play stewardess (cabin attendant?).
I take it all back, Mike!

189 ft of elevation change vs 133 T1 COTA, 133 VIR, and 110 Glen.

Can't wait.
