Great vid! I never felt like I could get the car to stick on the outside of the lightbulb. You guys took the outside line a lot. I'll have to work on that.

You were just a bit too far back to catch the out of class dive bomb that took me out of P2

Yikes, that finish was closer than I thought!
Great footage, great time!
I know there's a lot more, 'cuz I've been reviewing mine.
I want it all.
I will be posting as I edit.

I gotta find some HP, or I'll be an also ran at Daytona!

Some great videos, and a great event. Have always loved Schattenbaum events. As a rookie, I have to say this racing thing is a lot of fun. I've got a lot to learn, but my starts are killing me. The one race I gridded 4th and managed to stay there for the entire race, but all the other starts I must have lost at least 5-6 spots by turn 2 😢. Its fun trying to get them back, but id rather not lose ground in rhe first place. Beat my personal best by about 1.5 sec thanks to some great advice I received in my other thread. Great to meet a bunch of fellow rennlisters and put some faces with names. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend. Can't wait for Summit Point.

Here a couple of Vids from the #05 ZSA World Challenge Cayman. We ran 1:25.08s 4 weeks back at the ARCA in GTB1, track record. But I was really trying to avoid headaches swapping TBs and weight, etc. back and forth from WC to PCA weekends. that plus I thought it was be fun to lighten the car.

opted to run in GT3R, which based on the equation, let me go as low as 2620 lbs from 2950 lbs. we had some 150lbs of ballast in the car so we got down to like 2800 but no less. it was still a nice change. car was more nimble for sure and the TB got us a few hp, not too much.

overall, car was fun, ticked off a 1.24.2ish a few times on scrubs. was expecting to be mid 123s on stickers for qualifying but we developed a strange vacuum leak in the intake somewhere, justifying my worries about swappig to and fro the air intakes/tbs on pca vs wc weekends. we thought we had it but didn't. basically under heavy load, you go to downshift and you get almost a stuck throttle, rpms stay high, adds some power where/when you don't want it. caused me to zing off track left on the fast right handers before the left hander. not fun.

we tried some things to sort it, redid the intake, loaded a different one, just couldn't find it. could be a bad TB, or software, or MAf.
so after race 1, I had to go later that day and the Heinlein boys had already spent crazy time fixing it. couldn't ask them to continue doing that for a 2nd race in another hour or two when I was leaving anyway.

had a great battle with Katz in his new gtc3. fun. and againt THOlt in his darth vader black GTC4. almost got to him at the end. the cayman's tires stayed perfect the whole way while I think other guys burned off theirs a bit.

overall fun weekend.

We all suffer from the red fog on the track, and if we didn't, we would be doing something else
