OK, that spans 20 years, but I find it shocking, nonetheless.
As far as Vintage goes, since I love the history of the sport so much, of course I love Vintage.
But I wonder how these guys get away with it, when it was so bad back in the day.
The only difference I can see is in the circuits, but some of those cars look positively scarey.

Vintage cars on vintage tires with true vintage motors are pretty slow compared to anything made today. The cars were not built the same (as rugged) but they didn't have to be because they were going much slower when crashing.

Nelsons was known as the fastest 2 miles n America in its heyday. The lap record I believe is 58 seconds and change in an Atlantic. The condition of the track and facility is much improved over the years but without a complete repave and removal of all the tires it will never be considered on the level of a Mid Ohio or WGI. Shame as it is a fast and fun layout.

Some vintage cars have upgraded safety (removing the fuel bladders surrounding the cockpit, for example), but some persist with obvious flaws that do not seem to be regulated out. I lost a good friend at Road America in a vintage car with very period safety equipment. A roll hoop, single door bar, no halo or side net, low back seat, and shoulder belts mounted to the floor behind the driver. His thought was that he didn't race that fast or hard in vintage, so it was OK. Sadly, a relatively low speed side impact proved otherwise.

I have also been not only at the track, but on track when a fatal crash occurred at Mid-O, which does not appear on on the list.

Is this thread about outdated or unsafe tracks? I would call Road Atl somewhat outdated in terms of facilities/amenities, but not unsafe. Challenging- yes. Lots of concrete to hit but hopefully not fatally so.

Plus a club racing fatality in 2011.

That list is not accurate.

Moroso 4
Moroso is closed,

PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway) is now on the same location, similar layout, but totally different track. IMHO, much much safer.

Almost on cue, this clip just posted; 10 most dangerous race circuits.
Not sure I agree with their assessment, but interesting stats:

And what's this about a Club Racing fatality at WGI in '011?

I believe that this is the definitive site for racing fatalities:

July '11 death at WGI was at an scca race. Happened in turn 6 if I recall.
