-Because of the camber of that corner, you have to be a little early to be "in" the camber. Your line, taking you past the outside of the concrete patch early means you're trying to get the car to rotate while you're at an "oblique" rather than "tangent" direction to the camber.
-When you turn in "late", you need to travel on a tighter radius early in the corner, for the favor of a later radius later (good for getting on the gas). If you turn in "early", you do the larger radius first, and then have to negotiate a tighter radius at the corner exit (bad for getting on the gas!). Your late turn in forced you on the smaller radius, which you can't do as fast with the same amount of grip.

I'm going to suggest that if you had turned in earlier for T2, you wouldn't have had that slide, for two reasons:
-Because of the camber of that corner, you have to be a little early to be "in" the camber. Your line, taking you past the outside of the concrete patch early means you're trying to get the car to rotate while you're at an "oblique" rather than "tangent" direction to the camber.

Van and Matt, I appreciate your input.
My goal this weekend was to build up to going flat from turn one to the bus stop, although I'm still not certain that the car/driver combo is capable of that. I had been turning in earlier but found that I was getting closer to my goal when I turned in close to the end of the rumble strip, where it is painted all white.
I also could have been a little smoother with the throttle just before it started coming out.

Paul - an immaculate correction. Very graceful. Like Van I prefer a tighter entry to T2. Its not a sin either way though and I'm not sure this was the culprit. So........
I have an observation or maybe a question.. Tell me if this makes sense: listening to the car and watching: it seems as though your angle of attack into T2 rather than the entry itself was the culprit. Does that make sense to you?
This coming from someone who knows he does not have your skills. Nice driving!
