Good catch on the chin strap. Crap!! I checked my other videos for the weekend to make sure I didn't do that more than once!

LOVE that car Andy... Imagine how well it would go with a Stock D motor with 245 HP!

It's going to get some more HP over the winter so I can get up there and play with you and Sean!

Damn Andy, did not realize you were there with the new car. I would have stopped by to say Hi.
Sounds great, I bet it's a blast.
If everyone raced clean like you we would not have all the these 13/13 discussions.

Thanks Doug. I went looking for you around the paddock, but couldn't find you. I think I was still looking for your old F car

These 13/13 threads are crazy. I don't get it. On one hand I hear you must be 100% along side or else. Then I see a Cayman get rear ended in the bus stop and hear there was no 13 given. I just don't get it. I just try and stay out of everyone's way and give lots of room. If I'm faster, I will get them back.

Hope to see you soon Doug.

Well, here we go - Yellow Sprint Race I:

Yellow Sprint Race II where I just could not find any grip due to a mistake with my tire pressures which were too low:

Following is a link to the second Red Sprint Race. I would skip right to 22:00, which is when the action starts after the LONG double yellow.

I'm not too proud of my driving last weekend (rusty and a bit gun shy after a long hiatus and a several large checks to the Dawe family), but I did have a blast duking it out with my arch nemesis (yonkhole). Here's the rear view of the same action (starts at 23:00 and ends at 27:00).

That was one of the ugliest pre-start grids I have seen. I see that more and more now as PCA seems to throw green flags no matter how bad, so people are cheating starts a lot

In one of the SP races they pulled in the top three cars for a stop and go based on the way they started, so obviously race control recognizes this developing problem. I personally would rather see this than a wave off, which causes other problems, including crashes, and gives everyone one less lap of racing.

The starts were horrendous all weekend. You should have seen the craziness during the red fun races! I had several conversations about this over the weekend. In seven years, no-one had ever seen a start waived off in PCA racing. That just speaks for itself. The mid pack guys know that they can get away with just about anything. Also, I couldn't see what was going on up front, but the pace car must have been going 90 mph, not 45. I had a very hard time keeping up (if you watch yonker's video from about the 4 min mark, you can see how spaced out everyone was from the #8 all the way to turn 11).... plus yonks missed a shift and amplified the problem a bit.

In green we had a wave off in the fun race, but I'll agree, the starts seem ragged

Here is the Red Sprint races 1 & 2. Felt I could have gone faster but it was a new car to me and first race of the year. Just being cautious and trying to learn the car.

Sprint #1: Raw, uncut video... lots of yellow in part 2. Kinda nervous and messed up a few shifts but the box checks out fine. thank you Porsche gods!
