The mistake of putting the camera in the wrong place? You have very nice seats!

Here's video from the yellow sprints and purple enduro. I was running stock H

Sprint 1: Kinda boring to watch as all the fast GTB/J cars disappeared in a couple laps and I just helt the lead the rest of the way in H. 4:30 mark was kinda interesting as we came around the toe and there is cayman stopped in the center of the track.

Battled a J car the whole race trying to stay ahead of the other H cars. Finally manage to get by him in the bus stop after the full course yellow

Started 4th over all, and was in first until the 58 minute mark when I ran out of gas and got a DNF. Actually ran my fastest lap of a 2:08 the lap before I ran out of gas

Blue Sprint 1 from the SPB ranks. Had a pretty good race. Wrong gear at the start but otherwise not awful.

I like the way you gently and slowly blip/roll the throttle to match revs...many people just stab at the gas, often making for an rough match, or they miss the rev match all together, jarring the **** out of the drivetrain and unsettling the car.

I have an observation or maybe a question.. Tell me if this makes sense: listening to the car and watching: it seems as though your angle of attack into T2 rather than the entry itself was the culprit. Does that make sense to you?

This coming from someone who knows he does not have your skills. Nice driving!
Dan- I like your question of angle of attack- but I don't have an answer. I can say that the car moves around alot, and I compound this issue by pitching the car more often than I should, so my lines aren't ideal. I also enjoy both of those weaknesses. Wish I had posted this Saturday morning! Hopefully this will motivate me to read something new and start thinking again- there's many drivers here that understand dynamics much better than I do. All I do at the track these days is drink Coke and rely on my familiarity with the car to get around. I look forward to returning next year and trying to apply everyone's ideas.

611 WG Blue Sprint 1
Love the pass at 8:00

I had a ton of steam coming out of T1. You two SPB looked closer together. I didn't think I could only pass 611 and slip in between you. So with my speed I went for the double. Worked out great for me!!!

Car #31 hit the wall hard coming out of the Toe. I saw the bottom of the car at impact. I was in mid Toe when he hit, but from my video, it looked like something broke. However, I talked to someone spectating and he said the car fishtailed a few times before he hit.

I appreciate your respecting the race Jim! A shout to Mark Weining for that as well as he too was careful to not get in the middle of a great battle earlier on.

Nice video, Hunt. Have you tried 3rd gear coming out of T11? You are getting killed there every time in 4th...

I wish I could take credit for that, but that wasn't what I was thinking.

I had a good exit out of T1 and got a good draft off of you two. When I pulled out, I knew I could complete the pass on 611, but you two appeared to be only 1-2 car lenghts apart. I felt I had two choices:

A) Brake earlier, softer and end up between the two SPB cars. But this would have probably really messed up my momentum.
B) Keep going, brake late and do a double. I was most concerned that the front car would not see me and turn in on me.

Neither was a great choice. Because I had enough speed I went with B, but I absolutely committed to being in-front of the lead car, even if that meant blowing through the bus stop.

Nice run Hunt, too bad Kelion had to finish Sprint 2 the way he did, a good force to have in SPB.. hope he bounces back! As for T11, I just think you need to brake less, you don't trust the banking there and your ability to rotate the car. Just MHO of course... it is a foam wall after all..
