Default Windshield defogger

I'm trying to find a fan that would blow hot air into the windshield, so it can help it defog it. So far, the coolshirt fan I'm using is not effective enough and I have to wipe the windshield with my gloves while racing...

Or any other idea... The heater has been removed from the car...

Thanks

c.

I use a dishsoap on the inside of the windshield that I put on in a thin, I repeat, thin coat and it works great.... No fogging in 30 min sprints with full rain the entire race...

my $0.02

David Murray shared this at Daytona last year and it works: shaving cream.

Heard about that too. Will try it!

Nobody with a small hearing fan link on eBay?

Not meant for the windshield but its the best fog stuff I've ever used. Meant for scuba diving and works very well even in cold dives

Charles, you can try a fan made for cabins in yachts, see thr West Marine Catalog. May also be available locally at The Boathouse in Dorval. 12 volts and they move a lot of air. Easy to mount as well come with a swivel base.

I have to say that the NUMBER ONE reason why closed car folks don't do as well as they could in a rain race is the lack of visibility due to inside screen fogging. Application of liquid/soap/shaving cream on the inside of the glass might mitigate it or slow it, but it won't fix it. If you have a street car converted, leave the heater box and fan in the car for use as a defroster or try something like this: http://www.jcwhitney.com/auxiliary-d...erid=c2298u0j1

There are for sure more compact options, but this is what is needed.

OT, but Peter, I've often wondered how you keep your tie from flapping and getting wet when you drive the open car in the rain...
