Default Wheel thoughts for 993 NB

I'd like to get the 8.5 / 10 stagger, 993 NB, lowered, and not spend $$$. The OZ Alleggerita HLT would fit the bill, but don't have a good color (yes, I know that's silly for the track, but I also drive to/from). Any other suggestions that are light, not ridiculously $$, have the 8.5 up front, and a lighter silver color?

What's ridiculous money? You can get Jongbloed's in whatever size you want. They are strong and very light. I have 2.5 sets that have lasted 8 years without any issues despite the occasional agricultural line at the track.

And, hey, my baby is now a former car?

Where you been, Tom? Yeah, with my son now in the back and essentially an umbrella over his head, I had to switch to a coupe. I kept the tranny though

The OZ is about $1700-1800 for the set...I'd like to be about there.

I used the OZ's as track wheels and love them. Very light.

Well yes, but I don't like how they look on my car. Just my opinion. I'm looking for essentially that price point, size, performance, but lighter color silver/metallic.

I'm thinking the same thing. However, I'm wanting to go 17" diameter. The rubber is ~$300 less per set...

Well, since I'm running DOT R, not Hoosiers, they last long enough I'm not too stressed 18/17...

What DOT R? I'm open to new ideas. Getting tired of the Hoosier cord breaking thing. Have you tried the Nitto NT01?

I was using Toyo RA1, but they wre just too tall for the wheels I had, and weren't available in the sizes I need. I just switched to the NT 01s and so far I like them.

We used Nitto NT01 last year on the 993. One set lasted almost the whole season with two drivers. I bought another set this year. We use 245/18 F and 275/18 R. Free shipping from Discount Tire Direct.

Thanks, but that is 2X the OZ, much more than I'm looking to spend on track wheels.

Find a set of MY02 wheels off a 996.2 carrera. They look very sharp on 993s, and you really can't go wrong with an OEM cast wheel in terms of durability...
